PLEASE DON'T SPREAD THE WORD! 1) There are 450 acres of state land on the mountain behind the inn, and two beautiful, pristine mountain lakes, miles of hiking trails including The Appalachian Trail and untouched forest that await your exploration. Bring a picnic basket and backpack or borrow one of ours and spend the day sunbathing or wandering. The mountain is full of trails, an abandoned RR bed, an old quarry, the hidden remains of a mining village and abundant wildlife. Bring bug spray and boots or sneakers if you plan on really exploring! If I give you a map to this hidden spot you have to promise to keep it to yourself! This is just for my guests and the few locals who know about it!!!
